My husband and I have been trying to concieve for 6 months now. We know that I can have children, I have an almost 3 year old son. We have intercourse 4 to 5 times a day. We have tried every position imagionable, and then some. We have done ovulation predictor kits, we have tried monitoring my basla temp, monitoring my dishcarge, checking my cervix position, you name it we have tired it. I eat healthy, I avoid anything with caffine in it, I take a prenatal vitamine every day. Neither one of us somkes or drinks. We have gotten so desperate that about a month ago we enven went to the Dr. to get both of us checked, fertilization wise. We are both fertile, and still nothing.
Is there something we are doing wrong?
I have been trying so hard to keep up my hope and I am just not sure how much longer I can handle this. I am not susre how much longer our relationship can handle this. I am affraid that if we don't get pregnant soon the fire will die out between us.

First of all you are having sex way to many times a day I'm jealous. But in all seriousness twice a day is more than efficient to have sex if you do it more than that your actually harming your chances the male sperm can only reproduce so much in a day so the more you have sex the less sperm he is actually producing.Wait two to four days before you are gonna ovulate and then when your serge goes up after using the ovulation kits then have sex that day once and the next day once and even the day after that would be sufficient as well. But not needed. you can try positions that are more penetration like bring your knees to your chest or even doggy style but never girl on top because c-m doesn't stay in. If you lie on your back immediately after and don't get up at all for 15 to 20 minutes it will increase your chance if you have a tilted uterus then doggy style and keep your but in the air for 15 minutes as silly as that sounds the c-m has to stay in you and it needs to be potent enough.Having sex that often can make it feel like a chore when your not ovulating have fun dont make it about just having sex to a have a baby. then you wont be so stressed and trying to hard. being stressed could also cause it . Calm down and have fun. you guys will be pregerss in no time if you just take it easy most people get pregnant when they stop trying.

4 to 5 times a DAY!? That's a lot of sex. You could be depleting your husbands sperm count. I would try having intercourse every other day and then the week of ovulation everyday. That should be plenty. Also, sometimes trying too hard can stress you out. Maybe you guys should just relax and go with the flow. Six months isn't really that long to be trying either. I know many women that have been trying for a year or more. If you are both fertile and healthy, it will happen for you.

First of all, I don't think having sex that many times is going to help. You are supposed to have sex every other day, that way your husband has more volume of sperm built up to make its way to your egg. At least cut back to once a day. The poor guy is probaby shooting blanks half the time because his body doesn't have time to replenish.
Second, there are several things to be checked out on both of you if you can't conceive. You could actually be allergic to him (like on Friends, but it's a true thing- I know someone this happened to).
Third, 6 months is not a long time. Most couples don't conceive in the first 6 months, so just keep trying and if it's past a year, then see your doc for more testing.

first get the book "Taking Control of Your Fertility" by Toni Welchler get to know your body better..... second sex more than 1 time a day is not necessary..but always fun....it take 24 hours to replinish the sperm lost from the first time that day and when your in your fertile phase the sperm will stay around for about 5 days waiting for the egg...

We used Robitussin (Guaifenisen) to help with the the mucas.... it thins out the mucas to help the sperm travel faster to the egg. We took it every 4 hours on the days we were having sex... We had sex twice a day for about 6 days straight! Also, Clomid worked very well with me! We got pregnant twice using Robitussin and once with Clomid. I know it works! Dr. approved! Also, after sex I would lay there on my back with my hips elevated for about 30 mins... just for the sperm to make its way back... I am sure you have heard all of these but if not, try them... they work!!! Good Luck!!

why don't you get a thermometer and take you temp every day and chart it? i did that and i got pregnant at 42! every woman ovulates at differnt times of the month. so the best way to do it is see where you highest temp is...when you ovulate your temp goes up over the normal range.

Having sex several times a day is kind of pointless. I am not trying to sound mean by any means but it takes 24 hours to build up sperm. I would try to just have sex once a day.

I wish you both luck!

Our doctor told us to have sex every other day. That gives the sperm time to build up. You do not have to have sex every day to get pregnant. The sperm can live in your body for up to 5 days.

Once we listened to our doctor, it only took 2 months to get pregnant.
