This question is asked over and over...I am talking from personal experience on my answer. Believe me I know how it works. There are so many variables to situations like child support. Depends on circumstances of the case.
First, were you legally married or just gf/bf? If it is the latter call child support enforcement. Pursue it with diligence.
If legally married and he doesn't deny it is his child...get a lawyer if you can afforded one. If not...get one through the courts. They will appoint one that works voluntarily at times. I forget actually what the term is but they work for free...no charge to you.
Go to the court house yourself and you can file a petition against the father.
Most likely a "Hearing Officer" will hear the case first and make a judgment but it can always be appealed.
It is a long process and if the father of your baby won't even pay $25.00 a week...you may be in for a long battle.
Good Luck! Hope this helps.

Embarrass him. You'll see how quickly he'll pay his child support. I have a friend who was dealing with the same problem. On her myspace page, she put all the business on there, that he can't pay a measly $50 a week and the whole nine. Let's just say all their mutual friends read it and his family asked her to take it down because he was embarrassed. He payed up. So. Embarrass him someway, some how.

You can either go through the trouble of taking him to court, or just forget him and remove him from you and your child's life. $25 isn't much, so I don't think it would be worth it to take him to court.

It's hard if he get pay under the table. NYC can live on all cash base without the government knowing anything.
It's time to make it on you own girl.

Keep calling your support enforcement office, every day!
They can revoke his professional liscense, if he has one.
There's also www.supportkids.com, I don't know anyone that used them, but they go after your support for a fee as long as you have a court order.

I'd ask him to sign his parental rights away. You have a child. You don't need to deal with another one. Good luck to you and God bless!
