my friend is always talkin' stuff about anyone how do i know she isn't sayin' stuff about me?

Look at the relationship that the two of you have. If it is a very strong one then she probably doesn't talk about you. If you two tend to fall out here and there then watch your back. Be careful when you tell her things.

If she tells u when she thinks you've done something stupid or if u look bad in an outfit,or shares stuff with u that she won't tell any one else ever then that person is a friend.

This is not an easy task but then u can have a test about it...
for example when u are having some kinda trouble and that fren is willing to help then it might be a true fren...
but if that person 'back stab' u then...
saying bsomeone is ok...
that where all of us get improvement...
but please not be overdoing it...

just gossip on something you can talk and share as well, is unfun when friends talk about something and you are left out in the cold saying oh ok what going on.. etc.. i been there once and never ever wanted to be there again., it feels like im a ghost or something =(
