Okay, I have to ask you if your a Middle-Aged, woman first off.? Because, my sister & I are the youngest two of 5 girls.. and we have been experiencing, these sorts of things for the past 2-3 years...First it started off with bleeding abnormally! Then it got to where we'd miss a period, and only have them every other month, then it got to where we were going months without them! So, I bought a book on menopause.. And what the book said, we are experiencing is: whats known in Medical Terms as: "Perimenopause", thats when you are having symptoms as if you were going through the actual deal, but, its not "Officially" menopause, until you've missed a Menzy, one complete year (12 months). So, we get the hot flashes, and months of no periods! Its so "Wonderful!!" We both are loving this!! She actually went 8 months without hers, my longest time has been 6 months thus far.. So, it also eleviates, some of the symptoms of the real deal, once real Menopause comes! Now, in your case you could be either showing the early signs of what we're going through, or, if your not middle-aged, I'd go get a "Papsmear" done... Cuz, this could be your body, trying to tell you, somethings wrong, and that might not be anything to mess with... Especially if your not middle-aged!! I do know how much women "DREAD" those "Papsmears" I do anyway, but, in your case, if you get it over with ,,now, you may be thankful later, in case there is something seriously wrong, and you caught it in time, you know? Just be careful, hun, or even just call "Dial-A-Nurse" and ask them if you should see a doctor, about this... Before you go making an appt., .....Good-Luck, to you, and I hope you'll be okay!

If your on the pill and slipped with your dosage, you could be experiencing break through bleeding. Use other birth control for the rest of this cycle and the next.
However if your not on the pill this can be entirely normal. You may notice that one of the cycles is heavier or lighter than the other, and you may find the following cycle may be a few days later than 28. 28 is just an average. It's not entirely uncommon for a cycle to be 25-35 days, or for them to vary.
How long have you been having a period.? If your young, they can take a year or more to even resemble a regularly timed schedule .Are you around other females who may be menstruating? Have you just started living with other women? Do you have a teen daughter who may be approaching menstruation? That played havok with my cycle several times over the past year. Both she and I can influence the others cycle to arrive early, just by being in the same place.
Again however, if it is extremely heavy, or last much longer than you would expect, see a doctor.

are you on the pill that could regulate your period alot of women have irregular periods and they are just fine but all that bleeding would make me mad . tTalk to your doctor about birth control it's not all about preventing pregnancies it does many other wonderful things like subdue cramps.
