I can connect to the internet but I can't connect to certain normal websites like msn.com or use msn messenger

I just moved to Austria and had my new roommate set up a new internet connection for me. Before she did this my computer was perfectly fine when I plugged into her ethernet cable but I couldn't access the wireless in our apartment. Now that she reconfigured something I have no problem using wireless in my room but my computer will now only go to certain websites. For example I can access yahoo.com and facebook.com but can't go to msn.com, psecu.com, student.wfu.edu or use my msn messenger. And when I try to go to these sites the computer just sits and thinks like it is in the process of uploading the site but can't finish. I never get a "can not access this site" notice, it will literally sit and try to upload it forever. Nothing else with my computer appears to be wrong and I have run several virus scans. What should I do?

Maybe the server she uses is blocking those websites for some reason. In that case what you need to do is use a proxy anonymizer website, which will allow you to see those websites from Austria. You just type in the url of the site you want to goto. Here are a few:
