Im a Pro,
Try a longer bar, (an extra 2mm will do) til it heals properly.
I have 6 in my bottom lip, they do develop a pocket in the back of your lip. It prevents them rubbing on your teeth and gums. Just make sure the skin doesnt seal over it, its very rare though.
The white skin is normal, it will go away.
Dont play with it too much, you'll infect it.
and DONT pick at the crustys! Its there to protect it from infection. Just wash it off in the shower, dont use any cleansing products.

I'm guessing you're talking about a labret. :)
The longer bar suggested by a previous answer would likely help, and also, go see your piercer if you have any problems. That person will be able to actually see what's happening and can help you with what needs to be done to resolve the issue. :)
Good luck!
