Centre - cross-over lay-up. -Lay-up first step to the right, then next step into the centre, diagonally for a forward lay-up shot. This will confuse the defence and may give you move room to move. Note: long strides are needed for this. Also, when in the centre, my own 'The L surprise' You put the ball behind your back and to you right side like a loop around the side of your body and dribble straight away to the right for a lay-up to the basket. To get open without the ball, always plant your off foot between a defender's feet and spin behind him. (By "off foot", I mean on the right side, plant your LEFT FOOT directly between his and spin to his left.) This will "seal" him behind you. If space permits, you can do the opposite as well.
