Israel gained billions coming from the US because it helped them get rid of their old armature as a trial test in south Lebanon... And besides of course Lebanon lost because they were dragged into a war that destroyed their economy which was still at the brink of emerging,, they lost kids , civilians ,homes , infra-structure , bridges and roads and morale.. and not to mention the many handicapped and brain dead or impaired for life.. The hezbollah did a big favor to Syria and Iran at the expense of the poor lebanese civilians and the worst part is that they still claim victory ,, So if destruction is victory I wonder what real victory is? Besides what did Israel loose? nothing really..

Israel wasn't in a conflict against Lebanon. Israel is in a conflict against Hezbollah. And that conflict isn't over. there's a non everlasting stop fireplace. the two aspects are nonetheless fortifying their positions (see link under). decrease than the UN decision, Israel pulls out while the two Hezbollah is disbanded or while UN forces arrive to enforce a buffer zone struggling with Hezbollah from attacking Israel. that's all Israel develop into ever attempting to end contained in the 1st place.

Exactly you answered your question, Israel gained by destroying Lebanese infrastructures and lebanese economy , and hezbollah helped Iran and Syria to empower themselves on lebanese grounds ... Who would be the hosts of hezbollah on the next round?

Nobody can deny the fact that the israelies spent the old inventory of USA.
Well now that they can get access to the new inventory.
War cost money but money is printed by people who start the war. The problem arises when people want to print money faster than the economy, how can you pump more cash into the system?

Lebanon deserved to have its infrastructure destroyed because the government was letting Hezbo use it to attack a sovereign nation.
I hope Israel waits until it's rebuilt again and then does the same thing to teach them a real lesson.

Now that Hezbollah has ignored UN Resolution 1701, Israel has gained nothing. Hez is free to launch rockets at Israel at will. In fact, now it has 5,000 UN human shields to deter an Israeli retaliation.

Israel 's policy since its creation in 1948 is to terrorize civilians to flee surrounding areas to allow its expansion.Only in Lebanon Israel miscalculated. It did terrorize civilians but did not win the war.

Lebanese had been sending katuza rockets into their town and klling people. Which no one seemed to mind. They just got tired of rebuilding and seeing their children die and decided finally to strike back. What would you do if someone came in your town and blew people up and kidnapped people and tortured them to death and blew up your school's. USA would have blown them off the surface of the earth. They were just saying leave us alone.

Nothing.
Well, no, maybe, possibly, is that that war has opened the eyes of many Israelis. Maybe now they realize how incredibly dumb they were in support of Olmert and his party. How blind and appeasing it was to think that by giving land to your enemy you may gain peace, many of them now realize that you only gain wars by appeasement.
So overall, if they aren't as dumb as I think, this maybe a good lesson to them on how to handle things next time.
