It has almost 2 weeks since my ovulation, and I think I should get my period tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow. I went for the blood pregnancy test on Wednesday, it came out negative. But the doctor called me the same day and told me that the test was done too early and she wants to repeat unless I get my period. She also asked me if I took ovidrel, (the HCG injection), I told her that I only had artificial insemination done and nothing else. So, now I am waiting, but I am really cramping like I am about to get my period. I even had spotting yesterday, just once (light brown color), and it didn't repeat again. I am really confused, any ideas.

well that is confusing, because usually with blood pregnancy test, they are almost 99% accurate. If you were only one day away from your period when you took the blood test, then you still should've been able to get a postive result, if you were pregnant. But the light bleeding, that occured once, could have been implantation bleeding. But, if I had to guess, i would say that you were not pregnant... but maybe you are! When i found out i was pregnant, I was getting cramps about 2 weeks pregnant and i didnt know i was pregnant, when i wiped after urniating, i noticed light pink blood, this only happened once, this was implantation bleeding, i took a $1.00 pregnancy test 3 days before my expected period, it came out postive. anyways... sorry this was so long! let us know the results!

I would suspect implantation bleeding if it occurs a bit earlier than expected, if it were scanty, spotty, pinkish and not red and heavy like a period, and does not follow the normal pattern of a period (light to heavy to light). There is often the feeling that it is a period with light cramps and bloating, but the bleeding is shorter, lighter and just not normal. If a woman is usually regular, and now all of a sudden develops this type of early spotting, and of course is "at risk" for a pregnancy, I would strongly suspect conception.

that might possibley be implantation bleeding , when i was pg i got implantation spotting about two days before my period was suppost to arrive. I had cramping also. if you spot and stop for a day and spot again for a day and then nothing more that sounds like implantion to me. Good luck
