It is a two sided Medal. You can see it in the debate for freedom of man in reformation between Luther and Erasmus.

The question is, in what direktion is freedom or Liberty used: Liberty from something or liberty to do something.

Love is in this case a good regulator, without putting love and ethical decisions into the same cauldron :-).

Luthers opinion: "Ein Christenmensch ist ein freier Herr über alle Ding und niemand untertan. Ein Christenmensch ist ein dienstbar Knecht aller Ding und jedermann untertan."

This is of course a religious debate in former times, but that answer is not so bad in relation to the question. What is real Liberty? Without love, I think, Liberty is borderless terror!
So how to make a decision in this case? Not easy, isn't it?

Congratulatons to this kind of question. Good stuff to think it over, but difficult to find an answer!

In the Bible, it is stated that "Love is never jealous". But mostly for married people, Love deprives their Freedom...especially when one is married to a possessive person. But there's a song that goes; " if you Love someone Set him Free". What now? we're only human!

There was a famous Urdu poet who said something about love which is still relevant. one of the couplets of his speaks in volumes: "Isque ne nikamma kar diya warna hum bhi the kisi kaam ke"
"Love made me idle otherwise I too was a man of some work."
Love can be invigorating and stimulating, but it can also make one sick(Love sick).Love provides unique sensation and lifts one to a new state of awareness, which is ethereal.

Nope...love liberates. Gordon said so.
