It should be pointed out that an insider who worked for Epic, and to an extent Saul Williams (a close friend of De La Rocha) have hinted that Zack left the band because "Renegades" was due to be released against his wishes. Zack did not want to release "Renegades" and the rest of the band (presumably frustrated at the long delays between RATM records) did. Those 3 members went and got separate management of their own & managed to secure the iminent release of the album. This prompts De La Rocha to quit. On October 18, 2000, he released the following statement:

I feel that it is now necessary to leave Rage because our decision-making process has completely failed. It is no longer meeting the aspirations of all four of us collectively as a band, and from my perspective, has undermined our artistic and political ideal. I am extremely proud of our work, both as activists and musicians, as well as indebted and grateful to every person who has expressed solidarity and shared this incredible experience with us.

Zack De La Rocha

According to a Spin magazine interview, de la Rocha has recorded several tracks with various artists, among them Roni Size, DJ Muggz & DJ Shadow intended for a solo album. In 2001, he was recording material on separate occasions with Roots drummer ?uestlove and Company Flow frontman El-P. In 2002 de la Rocha appeared in a minor role in the first part of Blackalicious's song "Release" on the Blazing Arrow album. De la Rocha and DJ Shadow's song "March of Death" was released for free over the web in 2003 in protest of the war in Iraq.

De la Rocha also worked on several audio tracks produced by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, but according to Reznor, these songs will likely never be released, as Reznor stated that De la Rocha believed the material "wasn't good enough" to release.

De la Rocha has largely remained out of the public eye ever since Rage's breakup. His most recent appearances have been on the Songs and Artists That Inspired Fahrenheit 9/11 soundtrack with the track "We Want It All" (produced by Trent Reznor) and on the song "Act III Scene 2 (Shakespeare)" on Saul Williams's self-titled album in 2004. Rumors of an impending solo album persist, though little real evidence of such a project exists. However, De la Rocha has been linked to a collaboration project with The Mars Volta's ex-drummer Jon Theodore, according to The Comatorium, an official fan site for The Mars Volta. Zack is also (according to a 2006 Spin article) very actively working with the Son Jarocho (Mexican folk) group Son De Madera and has performed with them on a number of occassions including the 'Save The Farm' rally for the South Central Farmers plot in Los Angeles, California. Among the songs De La Rocha performed backed by Son De Madera, one was about the US's response (or lack thereof) to the Hurricane Katrina disaster.

Zack & Tom were pictured together along with another man on September 15th 2005 at the South Central Farmers plot in Los Angeles, California. Both Zack and Tom have openly expressed their opposition to the selling of the land to developers and are actively involved in demonstrations and events there. The land is considered one of the biggest urban farms in the United States. The picture is the first time the two have been photographed together since the break-up of Rage Against The Machine. Members of the band were also reportedly offered large sums of money to renunite for concerts, though they turned the offer down

I'm a guy, and personally, I don't like long nails. We know a lot of like lengthy, painted nails cause they're "so pretty", but I don't like them.

A little bit of toe nail is fine... but I agree together with you. Long nails are kinda major.
