Call or go to the hospital. Better to err on the side of caution.

My baby didn't move - after about 18 hrs we went to the hospital. I had an emergency cesearean because the cord had gotten looped around my son's foot. That poor little dude stood still for hours so he could breathe. Everything turned out fine - he has his foot and all.

Fetal movement is an important indicator of fetal well being. After 26 weeks, you should feel multiple daily fetal movements. The amount of movement you notice, will vary from woman to woman and even from pregnancy to pregnancy. However, you quickly get a "feel" for what is "normal" for this pregnancy. It is also normal to feel the baby is "less active" during the last month of your pregnancy, but, even then, you should feel multiple episodes of movement throughout the day.

If you feel the amount of movement is significantly decreased over what is normal for this pregnancy, or if you haven't noticed any movement for the preceding 6 hours, lease check your baby by doing a "fetal kick count."

1.) Have something to eat and drink
2.) Lie on your left side
3.) Put your hands on your uterus
3.) Count the movements you feel for an hour.

You should be able to count at least 6 movements in an hour. Of course, you may stop counting if you reach the 6 movements in less than an hour. If you are unable to feel at least 6 movements in an hour following the above directions, CALL THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE IMMEDIATELY and they will monitor the baby at the hospital or the office to check the baby.

When I felt it had been too long since my baby moved I would lay down and push where I thought there was an arm or leg. Ushually this would make the baby move around. I also suggest you call a doctor too right away.

I would go to the doctor or hospital and be monitored, I wouldnt even wait for tomorrow.. Go now...

My son was lazy in the later part of my pregnancy the only thing that made him move was an ice cold glass on my tummy. But I went to the doc just to check.

As you get closer to term the baby has less room to move. so the movements slow down, you should have felt your baby move at least once or twice in a couple of days, try drinking some caffiene and see if that gets the baby moving, and definately call your dr. so you can put your mind at ease.

Drink some OJ or something caffinated and lay down on your left side for about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. If you don't feel anything, call your OB ASAP.
