I got my passport with her name as married name ie. with my surname as mentioned against my spouse. She is applying for new passport but wishes to keep her maiden names (on second thoughts). Is it possible to go ahead with her application in her maiden name and status as married.

She will have to have some documentation saying that her maiden name in now her legal name. When that is accomplished, she will need to send that document along with her original passport back to the agency and have it amended. Sounds like a lot of trouble for nothing to me. Your passport has nothing to do with her name. Erase the contact information and re-write her name.

I am not really sure how she is going to be able to do this. To get her passport she will need various types of ID and unless they are in her maiden name she may have problems. Why does she want it in her maiden name anyway? Is she trying to hide something?

unless she is going to divorce you, a passport with her maiden name on it would be a waste of money. if she took your sir name when you married, then her maiden name would not be a legal way of identifying her.

Join some men's groups on yahoo. And get a lock on a room-door if she hits you.
