Im trying to connect my PSP to my laptop via USB cable, but I dont see my laptop saying new hardware found, and I cant see any drive available, I read the manual but its not informative.

If the laptop has two usb ports use the aux. port then run add new hardware wizard from your control panel. Is that doesnt work then youll need to install another driver! It should tell you how!

Once you have the PSP connected it won't automatically be seen by the comp. If you press the Home button on the PSP and under the settings (far left menu) there is an option for USB. After clicking on it the PSP will communicate with the laptop.
