The Taylor Baby guitar is small and easy to handle but the sound is really boxy. The Taylor Big Baby (yes, the Big Baby) sounds much better and it is still smaller than a full-size guitar. I suggest a Taylor Big Baby.

Another choice is to get an "orchestra" size acoustic guitar. Although it sounds like an orchestra-size guitar should be huge, it's actually smaller than the typical dreadnought guitar. Dreadnought and jumbo guitars are the biggest, so steer clear of those. A "parlor" guitar is another smaller size.

Finally, several manufacturers have "travel" guitars that are smaller. The best sounding of these is the Ovation travel guitar, although it's not the easiest to handle because of its curved back. It is a nice size, though.

Happy strumming!
