i used to spend alot of money on new name brand stuff.a friend told me to start going to thift stores(goodwills,salavation army,e.t.c)i like it better.have anyone did this before?

Hello. - I do not anymore - Your friend is right, you can save a few dollars by shopping at Thrift stores. Sometimes one can find real treasures hidden at the bottom of the stack..lol

I sure have! I grew up working class and we would go to thrift stores near high end areas and buy brand name stuff that often times still had the tags on. Its pretty fun, looking through the stuff. Its an adventure that can be very rewarding.
P.S. Don't worry about the stuff being dirty or disgusting. Goodwill inspects and washes all clothes before they are put out for sale. If anything is less than gently used its put into the textile recycling bin.

yep!!! you find great name band clothing! Some of it is new, but most is used. How about this. A Gucci purse, authentic, for $18.00. I'm talking about those speedy doctor's bags from the 70's, that were really popular. It looked BRAND new, very clean inside and out. Sometimes you find shoes dirt cheap. Nine West pumps, hardly a scratch on them, patent leather pumps from the 80's, for $9.00. it really is great to shop at thrift stores!

Yes! And I LOVE IT! I go to a Goodwill store that's down the street from a ritzy neighborhood. I've gotten brand new designer clothing from there. Thrift stores rock.

The good will is a nice place to shop all of the clothes are brand names and still have the other store price tags.

Yes and it's fun! Check your area for a Plato's Closet. They only accept the best stuff and it's cheap. Abercrombie, Hollister, You name it. Very fun.. I want to open one.

yup...only place you can get name brand stuff in nice condition for next to nothing...depends on where you go though....and sometimes you just dont find anything good. ebay is good for that too
