Maybe it can. Go to the Programs section and pick the Command Prompt from the Accessories section. Then use the DOS commands to get to the folder where your program was installed. Then run that program from there. Some DOS programs still won't work, but many will.

It won't run _anything_? What have you tried? What errors did it produce?

When you visit a doctor for medical help he will first look at your symptoms, then come up with a diagnosis, then based on his diagnosis will prescribe treatment if necessary. In the same way, if you want someone to fix your computer you need to give lots of details so that a proper diagnosis and relevant solution can be found.

you goto accessories you see command prompt
Ok, may be DOS has bin disabled, enable that in the gpedit.mcs

Windows XP DOES have DOS - otherwise half of my stuff wouldn't work !!!
