No TV license required in the USA.
I think most won't understand the question because they never heard of it.
I have lived both sides of the pond. Ireland's license stands at €155 per year.

You don't need a license to receive TV reception in the US. However, all you get is 3 or 4 basic channels which are usually blurry. If you want good channels that come in clear, you get a cable or satellite subscription, which can cost anywhere from 20 to 100 dollars per month, depending on how many channels you want and where in the country you live.

I dont think they would as they have adverts on every channel. We only have a tv licence to pay for the BBC service which has no adverts just programs and radio.

No such thing as a t.v. licence but there is a monthly bill that one gets for having more channels, it's called cable t.v. then there's other services like movie channels, etc but you order that.

no they are supported by advertisements which means you have an advert popping up through your programme without any warning or commercial breaks like they do in th UK and this can happen several times during the course of 1 programme

The station itself needs a license. People running the station no longer need one.

No you do not. Unlike the UK, the US government does not own any tv stations or broadcasting outlets.
