A lot of us can hardly wait to vote that CLOWN out of office. I also say that extremists haven't done the muslim religion any favors either, not to mention the love that the arab culture seems to have for power drill torture and tribal killing. So basically there's PLENTY to go around wouldn't you say

"War is harmful to children and other living things..."

I had this poster in my room during the Vietnam war; went on a few war protests as well. I'm 30 yrs older now and wish I still had that poster. I've been on some candlelight vigil protests and have done campaigning for change. I go to the "impeach Bush" website and vote frequently, simply because it helps relieve the frustration!

This is not a war on terror, it never was, and I pray every day that the majority of Americans will finally realize this and take action to get our country back from the President and his cronies! Just waiting another 2 years for the next election won't do it. Too many innocent people will die before then!

Jenessa, I have never spit on a soldier and never would. I have the utmost respect for our soldiers. I'm proud that your husband was able to help children and their families. But that doesn't change the fact that the soldiers are just innocent pawns sent to fight for what they feel is a just cause when in reality it's simply not true. If that were the case, why have we not declared war on Darfur? Please don't allow yourself to be brainwashed about this. That's what keeps this war going.

no, i do not. i see thousands of people who no longer have to cower in the streets for fear of "disappearing", i see children running out to greet our soldiers and hug them in thanks for helping them. i see the tremors my husbands body goes through when he has nightmares about being there and uncovering one of the many mass burial sites. i see a nation who chooses to make this war about oil instead of the people we helped. i see soldiers proud of being able to do what they were meant to do, protect and serve our country. i see soldiers proud of being able to help another country come out from under a horribly opressive leader that WE put in office. i see the us correcting a mistake it should have corrected long ago.

but i absolutely do not see another vietnam! and if anyone i knew ever spit on a soldier i would probably go absolutely ballistic on them.

EDIT: by the way, i am a democrat and don't like bush... i think he's pretty much an idiot, but that doesn't change the fact that the stipulations put on iraq were not being met and that the recourse for such action had always been to take saddam out of power. clinton saw the nuclear plants and did nothing... we haven't had a decent president in a long time, maybe it's time americans study history a little better so we can get the idiot politicians out of office and ones who know what they are doing in.
and i know not all protesters spit on soldiers, but i know it does happen

What I remember is the level of stupidty human beings are able to achieve, because you guys want those fellows in power. At least during the Vietnam era, people in the streets were defiant. Mohammed Ali refused to be drafted and payed for his freedom. Kids flew up north here to Canada. But you guys, you just approve of everything sending your kids to war. It wouldn't surprise if in the November elections Bush and his cronies get the majority of votes.

I wasn't around for the Vietnam War but judging by what I've learned it seems like both wars were/are unnecessary.

Remember, the democats voted for the war as well. And you wont have to vote George Bush out of office, he can't run again since he has had two terms.
