Why in recent Muslim rally's across London do the Police stand by and watch whilst extremists tell politicians to leave their religious enclaves and demand the execution of Tony Blair. When if the boot was on the other foot and there were extremists on the streets demanding the heads of muslim's the police would be locking everybody up? Has political correctness gone too far?

Its outrageous that islamic or any other so called minority extremsts can preach hate, hold marches demaning shariat law for the uk or the resignation of the government or the destruction of israel. and if any group that has a right of centre policy structure will be stopped from marching or even having a gathering in our 'democratic freedom of speech country'. The news last night blamed a clash between white and asian youths of course on the white youths, this was a clash, a fight, it takes two participants to fight they are both equally to blame. everytime I turn the TV on or read a newspaper as a white british male I am being blamed for all of britains problems when I pay my taxes abide by the law and accept a multitude of foreign nations as my neighbour, a great percentage of which are using our benefits system to gain housing and grants. The government needs to act firmly, the media needs re address the balance against the bleeding hearts otherwise they'll lead the country into a massive backlash which no one wants to see.

The freedoms we in the US and UK enjoy are often used against us and oddly enough lately only enjoyed by those considered "oppressed" or "maligned". It is now okay for people to make a sculpture of a Christian figure out of feces but not of a Muslim figure. It is okay for a someone to make a movie out of a political figure being assassinated but not okay to say wish a group should be eliminated. The PC police have gone to the extreme and they are the ones that should be investigated for denying us the freedoms that they so freely give to others.

Being offensive about politicians is long established in the UK - see Swift et al.

Being offensive about religions has allways been barred for Christianity (blasphemy laws) but these have been diluted over time. It would have been better to abolish the blasphemy laws so that we could be rude about all religions but the government wimped out.

The best approach is to be totally apathetic about such rallys and tell the media to go chill. The government will probably examine which Muslim charities participate in such marches and remove their charitable status for engagement in political activity (which is how they quietened Greenpeace et al)

Liberalism? These people are the most ignorant of all, political correctness is a plague on society. At least the Muslims know what they are doing which would be a stretch to attribute the same to the liberals. Deport them both.

Yes, the new-left has gone too far. Political correctness has turned into a new form of censorship. The liberals are allowed to say whatever insulting, degrading thing they want to, while the normal folks are considered fascist if they mention God or country.

i do not agree in any respect. both activities have intense faults (some shared through both). To believe that both political party is authentic about each and every thing is ridiculous. To believe that easily one of them has acheived "enlightenment" is truly stupid. The Democrats are not sitting in the Senate meditating all day. the idea of a bipartisan equipment is that the authorities is supplied of polar extremes, so as that each and every point of view is heard. The operative note being "severe". Politics isn't a crew interest. do not base your opinion of an challenge on the party affilitation of the guy chatting with you.
