Keeping things simple, imagine that you have typed out three paragraphs of an email or a form. After reading the top paragraph you want to move it to under the third paragraph. For Cutting, you need to "select" the top paragraph by pointing your mouse arrow at the top left hand corner of the text and keeping your finger pressed down on the left button of your mouse, sweep diagonally over the paragraph highlighting it, usually in blue. Then using Edit, click Cut.
To Paste your Cut paragraph, first place your mouse arrow where you want your paragraph to re-appear, in my example under the third paragraph. Now click on Edit again then Paste, you should find that the paragraph appears in the new position.
It's a good idea to have a few practise runs until you can easily cut and paste.

Take your mouse, and place your cursor at the beginning of the text you wish to copy, then click and hold the left mouse button, while pulling your mouse over the text. This should highlight the text. Now release the left mouse button. Now, with the cursor over the highlighted text, right click the mouse for options, and select 'copy'. Now over the place you want to copy the text to, right click your mouse again, and select 'paste' and you will have copied and pasted the text. :-)
Cut and paste is the same as above, except you choose 'cut', instead of 'copy'.

old ctrl and press:
c to copy
x to cut
v to paste.
Alternatively, you can right mouse click the highlighted text and cut, copy and paste that way.
BTW, Eejits is the way an Irishman says idiots.

using the mouse select the text by placing the mouse just before the first character.
Press down the left mouse button, and move the mouse to select the text you wish to cut.
Once it is all selected release the left mouse button then press the right mouse button, you can now select Copy which will copy the text into memory or Cut which will remove the text and save it into memory.
Now got where you wish to paste the text, press the right mouse button and choose Paste.
