Right off the top at least 50% have less opportunity because they were born female. And the Muslim religion definitely discriminates against females.

U have miscategorised the question. This should be in the Jokes' section.
Tell me a government or public institution where religion is the criterion for selection. It's only the calibre which is seen. If u guys go to madrasas for studying & then come n say, 'I couldn't get admission in IIT or AIIMS.'What the hell can we do???
There are Sikhs, Christians, Zoroashtrians, Buddhists, Jains, Jews, etc. in our country. How is it that they never felt so? & remember these religions have lesser following than Islam.India has the 2nd largest following of Islam.Still u ppl keep crying.
There r so many minority protection centres 4 u guys. Not to forget Jamia Islamia,MPLB. & the Congress party which follows the Muslim-appeasement policy creating a rift between u guys & others.
Lets face it, u guys r the most insecure ppl on earth. U need to grow up.
Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Zoroashtrians, Buddhists, Jains, Jews, all sang the National Song but some of u guys didn't. We still didn't say anything. Despite all the freedom & equality given, u guys fom groups like SIMI & bomb ur own, our own country. U guys form sleeper cells & assist ISI agent & militants to spread terrorism in our country. Is it just a coincidence that ALL THOSE BEHIND '93 MUMBAI BOMBINGS ARE MUSLIMS??? Name any terrorist act & u'll invariably find Muslims behind it.
Still we see u as our brothers, give u equal rights.Even POTA was removed (which was an idiotic decision) since u guys felt Muslims were targeted knowing the fact that all the terrorists r Muslims (if u're intelligent enough to understand the kind of terrorism I'm talking about) & this is the reward u're givins us!

It is grossly incorrect to think that Muslim children in India lose any opportunity because of religious discrimination. Senior citizens know pretty well how the British have done their best to create permanent bitterness between Hindus and Muslims. In spite of this fact, Muslims in India get the best treatment as compared to other non-Muslim countries of the world. There are many villages and towns where people of both the communities stll live like members of the same family and celebrate religious vestivals together. Discrimination on the basis of caste and religion is a matter of politics which is being exploited by the politicians who have adopted this vocation as a lucrative career. However, the constitution of India has ensured equal opportunites for all the citizens of India but all the people are not able to get the benefits due to various reasons. So far as Muslims are concerned, they are, unfortunately, victims of some dogmas which they want to get rid of but find themselves in a helpless situation. Limiting the size of familes has made tremendous difference in the living standards of Hindu families but very few Muslims, except with higher education, have benefitted from this concept. This leaves the majority of large Muslim families of lower middle class still struggling to make both ends meet. Consquently, these families are not able to derive benefits from the educatinal progammes and other schemes of the State. On the contrary, the Muslim families with progrssive thinking are doing excellent in all walks of life. Their children are getting best opportunities in education, employments and vocations of their choice. There are countless examples availble throughout the country to prove this fact. If anyone is willng to take up an impartial survey and research on this topic, he/she will be astonished to find that a larger percentage of children of families of the so-called Majority community are missing opportunities in all the areas. Let us, therefore, not talk of religions but of nationality, that is Indianism and be of some help to each other.

no ways , india is the only secular country in the world which has a reservation for minorities in almost every place from govt jobs to edu, infact its the high cast hindu's who dont have any such oppurtunity they can only try for private sectors, where else in the world is there a non muslim nation with a universities which have a flat reservation of 60 % for muslims?? (AMU, jamia hamdard) the only problem is that even for each reservation there is much higher number of applicants in absolute numbers. so if you think that you are not getting a chance because of religion then think again pakistan, indonasia are both pure muslim countries but they have much higher illitreacy and unemployement rates. dont mind but I think crying about how unfair the world is ..only makes you weak , if the child is really brilliant then ask him to go to the best exams....azim premji the richest indian, indian president APJ abdul kalam.... to name a few are all muslims and 'successfull' so I must admit a minority has a better chance after all this what nehruvian public policy is all about. india is a country with more than a billion people so you really need to be strong and independent to be the best....and if you still are not convinced then go to other countries and see for yourself. all indian muslims in arab muslim countries are treated like trash, no one in this world cares about religion, you just have to be the best.

No I don't think so.Because Indian constitituiton(article45)provide equal oppoprtunities for all.But there are some limitations for that. The previlaged group in the(aristocratic) community is not loosing much when compared with their poor counterparts especially from the rural community. But this problem is not the only problem of the Muslim community in India. This is the fate of all other deprived classes including Sc/St too.The roots of this problem is with social, political and religious.Religion itself try to keep some distance from others, not all but somebody. As compared with other countries(Euprope,USA,etc)in India we can hardly see such type of racial discrimination. In short not only the Muslims all other educationaly, politicaly and eonomically weaker sections of the community is suffering the same type of discrimination.ie only because of religion they are not facing such a problem.it is related to so many other aspects.

Yes, what you say is correct. A Muslim child (majority) is sent of Madrassas for education, where modern day education is a taboo. He learns only religious education, which has no value in present day conditions. Without proper modern education how can they compete in this competitive world. Because of lack of education, they have to go for lesser income jobs as drivers, mechanics, etc.
With the modern education, they will also imbibe secular values.

It is the parents of the Muslim child who are responsible for all these lapses.

No . Because they are create certain boundry around them.

Child marriage mostly happen in muslim community.
Especially, Females not get their basic education.
Like these so many reasons shows the fault from their side only.

Government also give the opportunity for them as a minority community. Government is not refuse to give them

OPPORTUNITY IS MEANT FOR THE OPPORTUNISTS..

The muslims have to put forth more efforts every time to prove that they are equal to thier counterparts.

Despite all the disparity there is no field where the muslims have not left imperishable impression.

How about Dilip Kumar, Nargis, Madhubala, Sharukh, Amir ,Salman etc etc...?

How about Azharuddin, zaheer Khan, Pathan, Munaf, Jafar etc etc...?

How about Mohd. Rafi, Naushad, A.R.Rehman, Talat Mehmood etc etc ..?

The list goes on , APJ Abdul Kalam, Maulana Azad, Dagar Brothers, Bismillah Khan, Amjad Ali, and thousands others which I can not mention here and you can not read either, who have contributed to the country despite all disparity.

Moreover it is not clear from your question as to what a muslim child has to loose becoz of his religion ?

I think it is RECOGNITION OF HIS WORK / PERFORMANCE which is not atrributed to him while for a hindu child it becomes very easy going throughout his life.

I don’t think so... but we cannot deny that Muslims in India are discriminated against.

Part of the problem starts when Muslims in India demand a differentiated status on the basis of their religion.

If they try and amalgamate themselves with the rest of the Indians, they will have equal opportunities.

MAY TAKE YEARS BUT WILL SURELY HAPPEN SOME DAY IN MY INDIA.

No, usually. Sometimesdue to their partiality towards religious education, some neglect modern education. But it s achoice, independant of religion. scondly, its wrong to say they r terrorists. In sheer numbers, all Naxals and LTTE people r terrorista and most r so-called Hindus. I think these " Hindu terrorist" outnumer the muslim ones.
