I don't think women lie. A sense of humor is more important than looks, but nobody said looks didn't matter at all. There's has to be something appealing to be interested.

It's not a lie Stevie, but you must be genuine. It's one thing to tell constant jokes and to be the Joker in the pack, but the girl needs to know that you have some substance to you too. It's fine to be funny, but she also wants to see that you can be sensitive and genuine. Looks really aren't the very first thing to motivate a girl. A twinkle in the eye can be infinitely more attractive than chiselled good looks or bulging biceps...most important of all is to let the real you shine through..we can spot a phoney a mile off! xo

More personality and sense of humor. Haven't you ever looked at a girl who was hot, then talked to her, and she was less good looking because her personality sucked. Likewise, haven't you ever looked at a girl who was average, and had a great personality. All of the sudden, she glows and is more attractive? Looks are the most important in terms of attraction, but personality will sway the ultimate attractiveness to one side or the other.
Girls are so used to any guy hitting on them, that they can be selective. They expect a guy to be relatively attractive, but they have ahard time finding both looks and personality in the same guy. As you would expect, they always want what they can't have, thus they get hung up on the sense of humor/personality part.

It may be a lie To some and to some others not..
And like with every thing looks and appearance play a roll.
Having a great sense humor you see more than looks.
everyone see what they want and we not always see the same
therefore there are no lies.
humor is important.

Girls are not lying when they say that a man's sense of humor is more important than his looks. In a crunch, good looks do not count for anything. Sense of humor, on the other hand, goes a long way. On the long term, good looks will vanish, replaced by the vagaries of age. Sense of humor will keep the heart and the looks young.
When they are smart, don't say girls are lying. Compliment them instead. Don't be afraid to do so. It will only prove that you are secure about yourself.

It's mostly true. Looks fade over time, but a sense of humour and caring personality are the things that keep a couple together long after the onset of wrinkles and a pot-belly.

they aren't lying. looks are for the initial attraction but after that a sense of humour is way more important. sometimes girls "need" to be with the hottest guy but give it a week if he's all looks and nothing else it wont last

Why do people focus on looks. I have happily been in a relationship for the past 12 years. It was not his looks that attracted me but his personality,his snse of humour,the way he treats me,the way he treats other people. There are far more important things than looks. Oh, and before I met him I went out with a lot of good looking guys. They always ended up cheating on me....and it was never their fault????
