Out of all of the Baroque or Iberian horses, which breed do you choose?

[ The Breeds: ]

[ Andalusian ]
[ Friesian ]
[ Lipizzaner ]
[ Lusitano ]
[ Paso Fino ]
[ Peruvian Paso ]

I have an Andalusian / Lipizzaner cross named Federico. His lines include about 5 National Andalusian Champions of Spain, And the lines that trace back to some of the six origional Lipizzaner stallions. He is the greatest horse ever. We are currently doing Dressage, Jumping, & Trick Training. He is by far the smartest horse I have ever worked with. I am a horse trainer ( I use natural horsemanship methods, including Parelli. ) and have worked with MANY horses.

I'm jealous! You get to work with a very beautiful horse. I like Andalusians and Lipizzans best out of the breeds you mentioned. I used to like Arabians best. I had an awful experience with one though. My first and only horse was an Arabian. I'm not a very good rider although I've been riding most of my life. I just never got to ride on a daily basis to develop good riding skills. I got an Arabian in spite of being warned that it isn't a good beginner breed. I got him because he had Bask lines and was gorgeous. He was so mean and I only rode him 3 times! The people that sold him were very wrong to sell him to me knowing I was inexperienced. If I ever got another horse, what breed would you recommend? Andalusians and Lipizzans are very expensive, right? I would only want to spend around $5000.

Personally I have never heard of these breeds except the Lipizzaner but the breeds I like the best are the Mustang, Clydesdale's, and Appaloosa

Andalusian!

When I worked training reiners, they were getting into training Andalusians for reining. It was amazing how quickly most of them picked up everything. They weren't quite as catty as a Quarter, but they had more style without a doubt!

Friesians. They are so beautiful. Out of all the breeds my favorite is a Quarter Horse, that's what my horses are.
