They did at Live8 in London's Hyde Park and Waters and Gilmour seemed to get on but a full reunion I would think is unlikely given the histrory between those two.

But then the Eagles did even if hell hasn't frozen over.

I wasn't there, but I watched the performance on TV. But it is so doubtful that they'll ever reform again...this bit from a recent article in The Star Ledger newspaper sorta says the same thing:

"...But, after years of acidic dissension between Waters and the rest of the band, he appeared to enjoy the Floyd's ballyhooed reunion at Live 8 last summer most among the four -- and wanted to make it more than a one-off event, if only singer/guitarist David Gilmour would have agreed. Instead, Gilmour released a solo album and mounted his own tour."

Pink Floyd have never split up.
Syd left before they found real fame, though was influential.
Roger left after the 'Final Cut' album.
Since then Pink Floyd have completed 2 world tours, released 2 live albums, a studio album (Division Bell), and appeared at one off concerts such as Knebworth, Live8 on several occassions.
They have been seen together during the last few years, but rumours of a new album are purely rumours.

i missed them, but since syd barrett went to the great gig in the sky, the members announced that they may do their own things but no longer be known as pink floyd in honor of syd.

Waters and Gilmore are still sore with each other. They have differences in artistic goals. Too bad. Combined they are at the top of the game, separate simply okay.

They turned down $500 million for a reunion tour but both said they would get back together for other one time benefits like LIVE8.

hmmm... i did not see that, but my husband (a die hard fan) heard they did get back together (with roger waters... they were touring w/o him for a while) and would be touring this year - he was really bummed about it because he'll be in the middle east while they are touring - so far as he heard...
