I've lived in both and find faults with both countries, the south are arrogant and the north have always had a chip on their shoulder about anything, so, silly question really.

I'm a Scot but liked living in England

I get a bit annoyed with the issue of who's friendlier.. north or south?

I've lived in a few places in the south and the only unfriendly area has been London and the commuter belt.

I think it's more of a city V country thing.

I've lived both, and personally I am happier in the South, despite having been raised in the North.
The differences aren't that signifcate, with the exception of wages and the cost of beer.
I find people freindly both north and south, however the attitidue seems to be more laid back down south - people have more time to stop and chat.

Since the north and south are no longer divided. I don't think one is better than the other.........just a matter of where you'd like to live.

Stupid question really, the southerners will say the south, the northerners will say the north and the people in the middle don't give a ****. I live in the north. I like it here. The beer is much cheaper.

Personally, I like the South, but the people are friendlier in the North.

I live in the north east and have spent many years working all over the country. I will always support the north, including Scotland, as having the most friendly people..............

I love people from any area, don't care if their northern or southern, its the person that is more important to me and not were they come from.
