No, my mom was too much of a b*tch to say that. She was always "Tell them what you think whether they like it or not". My dad was the one to always say "if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all". I respect my father and not my mom, so I listen to my father's advice more often than my mom's. However, occasionally I get my mom's attitude and I can be a b*tch too.

I used to get mad at them for not understanding there are just people you can't deal with in that manner!

My mother used that expression all the time but I know for a fact she never practiced it herself so of course everything she said to me went in one ear and out the other.

WoW!! You must be psychic or something. My husband asked me this same exact question 2 days ago because I said something hateful. So while I remember her telling me this and even though it may be true, it sure ain't no fun.
