Yes you can! It is actually a really good idea. Your oral health effects your overall health so you want to make sure your mouth is in good shape. My OB actually told me to go see a dentist to get a good cleaning and get all my teeth checked out when I found out I was pregnant. Just make sure you tell the dentist you are pregnant.

As with everyone else...a resounding YES!. Oral health is an intregal part of your overall health. I had to have 3 teeth pulled when I was 5 months pregnant with my older son. Now this was back when they had the huge ugly xray machines but they covered my abdomen very well. That was the most uncomfortable part, they only used 4 aprons--very thorough and careful. LOL. My husband was in the military at the time so the dental office was in the hospital and near my OB. They hooked me up to a portable fetal monitor and kept a careful eye on the baby's heartbeat during the procedure. The most pain I had was a sore jaw for a little while since the three pulled where wisdom teeth. (One had chipped and they didn't want to chance it going bad in my 8th month, thus the decision to do it then and not wait until after delivery.) I guess what I'm really trying to say is that it's ok and you'll feel much better and more comfortable in the latter part of your pregnancy with this taken care of. A good dentist knows he/she is part of your OB care team and will work with your OB to give you the best care possible.
Good luck and good health to you and baby.

yes - i have. They just take special precautions, and NO x rays!
It is always better to not have x-rays, surgery, or take medications while you are pregnant. If you need to have teeth pulled, such as your wisdom teeth, you should try to wait to have your teeth pulled, until after the first trimester or, if possible, after you have your baby. The first trimester is an important developmental time for your baby and the introduction to medications, x-rays, and surgery could cause complications with the baby's development. It is very important to tell your dentist that you are pregnant.

you will desire to have gained a handbook detailing what's and isn't any longer coated. frequently, it could cover all prenatal care and the hard artwork/delivery on the wellbeing midsection for you and the child. different wellbeing visits are coated, yet I do have faith that dental isn't coated except it truly is an emergency. i'm uncertain, nevertheless. i could say call the Medicaid workplace and ask, or inquire with the physician's workplace earlier confirming an appointment.

Yes you can go to the dentist. They advise you to go to the dentist when you are pregnant cause if you have gum deases or something they say it can affect the unborn baby.

Yes you can, just be careful with any x-rays they give you. Make sure you cover the baby up with a lead sheild to protect the baby.
