The symbol is called a triskelion, or triskele. It has been covered in a wikipedia article, but I'll summarize:

The spiral triskelion is one of the primary symbols of Celtic Reconstructionist Paganism, and also used by some Wiccans. Celtic Reconstructionists use the symbol to represent a variety of triplicities in their cosmology and theology; it is also a favored symbol due to its association with the god Manannán Mac Lir.

A form of the triskelion has been proposed as a BDSM Emblem by some BDSM groups, partly based on a description in the Story of O. The specific emblem design is meant to be shown with metallic spokes and circle, and three holes (not dots) within the design.

A group of racist South African Whites, the AWB, have used a flag consisting of a red background with a white circle. In the circle, three black sevens form a design distantly reminiscent of the triskelion. In spite of the similarities to the swastika (and the overall resemblance to the Nazi flag, both having a black symbol on a white disc on a red background), they claim their flag is inspired by a Biblical meaning of the seven, and the fact that the organisation was founded on the seventh day of the seventh month, 1973 (from which the three 7's can be extracted).

A Christian will tell you it is the symbol for the Trinity, meaning the father, son, and holy ghost. But the symbol is much older than that and comes from the ancient Celtic culture which was Pagan (which Christians have "borrowed" alot of symbols and rituals from). It represents birth, life and death. It is called a triskel. There are a few variations on the spelling.

Are you kidding me Rev? Thanksgiving is not a Christian holiday, but they make like it's all about thanking God...Halloween is most definitely a Celtic pagan ritual, I know lots of Christians that celebrate it. The name Easter comes from the ancient pagan goddess of fertility Estre. And Christmas has always been more Pagan than Christian, with its association to Nordic divination, Celtic fertility rites, and Roman Mithraism...that's why both Martin Luther and John Calvin abhorred it and why Puritans refused to even acknowledge it, let alone celebrate it. Dig deeper Rev!

It reminds me of the symbol for biohazards and also of one of those 3-armed boomerangs spinning.
