Look for ones specifically for combination skin. Boots own range is good.

I had the same problem. I did a lot of things to clear up my mega sensitive skin, but every moment, and every penny was well worth it. First, I get a facial every 2-3 months. They are expensive but well worth it. Not only is it great for your face, but they always update you on the best products. I only go to places that carry MD Formulations, because it is the only product that I have seen such great results with.
I also take the MD Formulations into my home care routine. I wash twice a day with their sensitive skin cleaner. Twice a day I take the Nature's Cure pills. And in the morning I put the Nature's Cure cream on, and the daily sensitive skin cream after the NC cream has dried. At night I use Clearing complex by MD Formulations.
Also very important is your makeup. I use Bare Minerals which are from the same line as MD formulations. Get a starter kit, it comes with an instructional video and all your brushes. You can expand after that. They are all mineral (powder), and work great. The "mineral veil" product helps with that oily skin look. I have been using this for a long time now, and I love the results!!
Hope this helps!!

First off, I use Proactiv...... It's the only thing that keeps my skin under control, you may or may not want to try it, but I only use the face wash, I found that all the other stuff they wanted me to put on it was just too much.
Instead of Proactiv toner, I use Biore Triple Action Toner and a clean cotton round and I get all the dirt off my face.
Then I dab Neosporin cream(not ointment, very important) on zits and flared pores if any(I've lived by neosporin for all my zits, ingrowns, blackheads, but I don't put it on my nose unless there is a zit. Obviously this doesn't work for everyone, but I would reccomend you give it a shot.)
Once a week I use Biore Strips to get all the gunk out of those pores on my nose, and I also take a tissue and press on my nose in different directions to get all the dirt out of them that the strips missed, and I mean, I press HARD, like the facialists do.
Once a week I also use Freeman's Avacado and Oatmeal tightening mask. It works wonders and leaves your skin fresh and clean, and also closes the pores after you use the strips.
It works for me, it sounds like a mess, but it's worth it. Try proactiv. I have the same problem and I over the years have used proactiv, I've found that the whole regimen doesn't work for me, but the cleanser is the best. Here is my regimen, maybe you'd want to try it out:

I'm hooked on cleansing wipes-the Equate brand that's sold at WalMart are less $ than most other and I love them. Most of the other brands are really scented and I don't like that and you can buy 2 packs and use them for specific areas..
If you don't like wipes try Alamay Milk Plus Foaming Gel 2in1 Cleanser and Toner. Also try some sensitive skin products, they might be good for you problems

I have used a toner from Clarins which I thought was pretty good as they have creams/clensers/toners that are suitable for combination skin. Try their website or go to a beauty counter and they may be able to recommend something.
