Stop concentrating on it.

Have you ever heard the saying "A watched pot never boils"? It's very fitting for your situation.

Preoccupy yourself with other things, have fun, don't think about it and 8 months will be up before you know it.

In all honesty though, enjoy your time, hope it lasts longer than it seems to. The older you get, the faster it goes. My daughter is 7 years old now, and it seriously feels like maybe a few months have gone by since I saw her for the very first time. Take things slow, have fun with other things, go out and enjoy yourself.

Find new friends, join some after school clubs. Volenteer to help out with kids or older people. Try and fill in every spare minute of you day so that it will just fly by.

meet new people. if you're around someone you like, time flys faster. Try to find things that you're interested in and just go for it. Don't forget your friends though.

Make yourself busy, busy in study and research. That will make your longing for your loved ones worthy.

Definately keep busy. Really, that's all you have to do. Doing nothing drags time out.
