Have any of u done this and if so how did u go about it? I would hate for just partial documents to be changed and the rest remain the same

They are issued a completely new birth certificate

You cannot change a birth certificate name. That's it.

However, you can change a name. The local county courthouse will give you a form. You change the name, pay around 20 dollars, and a judge will give you an official change of name certificate. You then go everywhere you've used the person's (in this case, your son) name and have it changed to the new name--like social security, schools, licenses, and stuff like that.

They are issued a completely new birth certificate to match the new name when i got married my wife went to the county clerks office to make the change she had to notify all of the people that might be affected by the change IE schools library any bills and stuff like that

I believe you must file a petition in court and get permission; I don't believe the Birth Registry offices will change a birth certificate on request once it has been filed by the hospital; otherwise there would be fraud and confusion.

no you can not change the birth certificate, that remains the same.
if you do it legally you will be given a certificate called a deed poll which will have details of both the old and the new name on it and the date of change.

i believe it will have the original name and your amended name
