I was reading the book a while back and it pointed out some.. rather interesting things about a lot of disney movies. I wonder if this had any truth to it.

It said that nearly every disney movie showed a way of the woman of the holy grail.. References in it. Some were obvious and some arent. Snow White it said was the biggest example with Snow white being both famous and kind of the centered being..

Wonder if any other movies could be referenced like that to the story.

No truth.

Brown was trying to draw any connection he could between his pagan/goddess theory and the world at large. He was trying to villify the Catholic church and this was just one more way to do so.

Great book though. Much better than the movie.

The Da Vinci Code is not fact, is poorly researched, and tenuously strings odds and sods together randomly, however if you are interested in the subject matter, and this is a movie site, I can recommend some films to watch.

Excalibur by John Boorman
Hunchback of Notre Dame
Aguirre Wrath of God

He said that in Marmaid, the picture showing behind is Mary Madelene. also Snow White is the good example because she's in fact a princess and have been left out in the jungle to be forgotten so as Mary. Also Sleeping Beauty is another obvious reseblence to Mary, as Sleeping Beauty, the tale of Mary is asleep in the jungle and waiting for someone to unearth the truth.

The Da Vinci Code is ficton, the fact that it parallels and bases it's "truths" on other examples of fiction means very little.
