true, when you think how big the universe is then somewhere out there there must be other forms of life.
When you look at a hertzsprung-russell diagram it shows all the other suns nearby, those suns must have planets encircling them so it must be possible to create life on those as they must have all the same ingredients needed to do so.

Not sure about "aliens", but certainly beleive that there are other life forms out there. The universe is so vast that there is no way, what-so-ever that Earth is the only place that life exists.
I also beleive that these life forms have visited our planet. For some strange reason this is partly to do with the Americans denying area 51, but yet they claim to have 52 states. How can there be 52 if there is no 51? So i do think they have proof and dont want to panic the world.
Let aliens exist and let me meet them! Would be a buzz! Also bet that they are far more superior than us or we would be the one's traveling half way across the universe.

Considering the size of the unverse (pretty big) and the fact that astronomers keep finding new planets around other stars there almost HAS to be other life forms in the universe.
It is also likely that there is, or at least has been, other intelligent life, and more importantly other technologically advanced life.
whether there are any currently buzzing around out there is purely a matter of conjecture, and further whether they would be able to get to us is again questionable, but I think that if they could they probably would, if only to observe. We know very little about our earlier stages of civilisation (only the bits written by the winners tend to survive and even then much is lost) so it would be fair to assume that it would be similar for them, so it would be of great anthropological interest to be able to observe a civilisation less advanced than your own. With this in mind though it is unlikely that any intervention would ever occur.

I believe that life has occured on earth despite the odds against it, with a near infinite number of planets out in the universe then it appears simple minded to believe this could not happen again. The conditions that gave us life must have happened again somewhere in the universe, look at the variety of life on this planet? Yet I do not believe that aliens can reach us in space ships or communicate with us in any useful manner. The rules of physics and astrophysics does not allow faster than light travel.

Yes, I believe there are other planets supporting life, but I don't believe that any aliens have travelled to earth - I think it's about as likely as a sparrow flying to the moon.
Considering the huge number of stars and planets out there, there must be somewhere pretty much like our earth and sun where life will have evolved.

I do. This universe is far greater than our minds could begin to fathom. It is even speculated that there is more than one universe. Knowing this it seems impossible that we are the only life. I think aliens are somewhere out there and we just haven't found them yet. I hope we can one day because it would be very interesting to compare and contrast our lives.

Yes. When I was six my brothers and I were in the back yard when the oldest looked up and started yelling and pointing and we all saw this silver thing just sitting there not moving at all and then all of a sudden swoooosh it was gone!!! We all ran into tell our mother who wasn't even phased but she did come out and take a look. This happened in 1966 not exactly a highly technical time so nobody can say it was some military beebob that went off course.

I believe in beings from another planet. I think its wrong to call them aliens.
Sure they will be different from us, with some planets having evolved way beyond ours, and some not being quite so evolved.
With all the various solar systems out there, which must have all been formed in a similar fashion to ours, there must be other life somewhere.

Yes there must be Aliens somewhere in the universe! which would have different physical built and properties. and the best thing is that we would be Aliens for them. but the question arises that would they be stronger than us or weaker, or would they make peace with us? thats a big hidden secret and that may stay secret for the next 100 years or so...

Yes absolutely, as many of you have said there must be a vast number of planets out there, many of which will have (Or had) micro organisms that will or already have evolved to their surroundings, just as we did. It is terribly narrow minded and uneducated to believe that earth would be the only planet capable of supporting intelligent lifeforms.
Alot of people are saying would they be friendly etc well as far as my knowledge stretched the nearest star (other than our sun) is 4 light years away, so we could never travel far enough to encounter them and they would have to be extremely advanced and happen to stubble across a needle in a haystack to find us !
