I would like this month to be spent looking at early black inventors the guy that invented the fridge for example & all those things we use for breakfast when we wake up & don't know they were invented by black ppl

& then spend the rest of the time singling out black pioneers & role models today (the guy that invented the lifesaving seatbelt lock thingy 4 kids)

& raising awareness about how black ppl integrate with other communities- which they have always been good at, sometimes even to their own detriment (e.g. small businesses & mainstream entrepreneural thinking among the the poor black- homeowners especially)

i would like them to bring back the old show "yo mtv raps".

but they should also air a few documentary type things lilke tru life or something that showcases black people of importance, like the first black us senator or the first surgeon....and of course the lives of harriet tubman, m.l.k. jr., and other leaders....i think it would also be cool if they focus on integration. but i'd really like to see something about some of the other do ggoders and successful people who get left out of the usual documentaries. there are way more people in the world who haven't had their "15 minutes"

First of all thanks for reminding me that it is Black History Month (when you get to a certain age the old brain finds it harder to retain important dates) Lol.
It would be interesting to see where black music originally started from, to where it is now
I love music, all types, and they say music is the source of life.

I'd like to see blacks that have achieved their goals in their chosen fields; men and women that have contributed to society as a whole. I'm sick of seeing us portrayed as insipient, powerless great-grandchildren of slaves that are unable to contribute because we continue to wave that old and tattered victim flag.
