The pregnancy tests these days are generally so accurate that they can give a positive result before the period is even due. Most likely your girlfriend is pregnant, you should make an appointment with the doctor to have it confirmed and make sure everything is ok.
Congratulations!

If she's regular and has a delay of 6 days with a positive test, she's pregnant!!! Congratulations!!! A visit to the doctor is mandatory to look up to her health condition. She needs to eat well, have no stress, and have a lot of care and love from you.

The chances of a test being a false positive are very slim. so congratulations your going to be a dad.Your girlfriend needs to see her doctor fairly soon so that he can refer her to a midwife.
Congratulations and good luck.

6 days late...is she usually regular? If so, and since it's rare for a test to show a positive for what isn't there.....( That's like a U.A. testing for testosterone coming up positive on a female--doesn't happen! And when it does, you know you've just tested a guy! Preg. test tests for a hormone produced ONLY during pregnancy...which is strongest in the morning..do a preg. test in the a.m. and watch how fast it goes- " + " Congratulations! And of course, God Bless You 3.

Most hpt's these days are pretty accurate. You should go to the Dr. and get a blood test done. This will confirm the pregnancy if she is pregnant. Good luck! Babies are such a blessing!

Go to the local doctors just to be sure and the doctor will be able to tell you of when the baby will be due and organise or the relevant referrals and tests. Sometimes it can be surprising as to when baby is due....
Good Luck with the journey to parenthood.

It's most likely right - I think false positives do NOT happen. You need to go to the doctors anyway, do it ASAP. Good luck!

It is right, the tests you buy in the shops are just as reliable as the ones the doctors use, and it is almost impossible to get a false positive. So first of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Yes, you do need to see your doctor, get referred to your midwife and get your first scans booked! Welcome to the roller coaster!
