...there are two people, same age, sex and social background. Neither have connections in the performing arts industry nor any previous expereince/ qualifications in their respective areas but have natural talent and are willing to do whatever it takes.
Person 1 wants to be a chart-topping success with global acclaim in the musical world.
Person 2 wants to be a Hollywood A-lister.
Which stands more chance of succeeding, if any? If one field harder to break in to than the other?

Trouble is, there are so many people who want to do this also. Person 1 needs to start with some singing lessons. This will help to improve the voice and prepare for auditions and start writing songs and researching recording studios that you can rent by the hour. Person 2 needs to get into local theatre groups and get experience of acting and look into drama workshops to improve your skill. Good luck.

Hypothetically person 2 would ride the coatails of person 1 making person 2 almost as successfull as person 1 and if you consider the variables the tru answer would have to be 21

i would say in reality neither will succeed due to every other person wants to be famous and thinks they have talent and its very hard, its not what you know, its who you know but if they never give up trying they might get lucky, but it could be a waste of time and money.
