Plenty of measures have been taken out to curb global warming? I beg to differ. However, most of it only to the industrial sector. BP and Shell have capped the global warming emissions from their refineries and other facilities, although these caps do not include the emissions from burning the fuels they provide.
What about every citizen, government and nation? If you ask people, still many do not know what is global warming about. On the contrary, it is not working! Not enough volunteers and lack of guidance and ignorance are the main factors why society as whole reluctant to participate.
Common rule, framework, education and consciousness should apply to everybody from kids to grandparents, schools to universities, small businesses to big multinationals and most importantly to USA, Japan, China and European countries as a whole.
For a start we should encourage our kids not to waste energy simply by switching off the light or PC after they use it. I bet we cant stop global warming totally at this point. However, we could only slow down before everybody realize how important to stop it totally.

Where is the proof people, where is the proof?
Here is a fact that seems to be overlooked every time this subject comes up: We are still primitive people. We do not have the capacity to understand what causes major changes in the Earth's climate. We can only guess- and this whole CO2 emissions garbage is nothing more than an illogical guess at that. It is foolish to think that we have the power to cause this much change- especially when the Earth has been through this very scenario countless times before- when there was no possibility that we could have caused the problem.
So let's stop jumping to conclusions and stop listening to those that profit from scaring us into submission. Al Gore has an agenda- and it's not in your best interest.

Yes...global warming can be stopped...it just take commitment and active participations from all countries in the world...
It must be a collective effort. If big nations like America, China, Russia and England etc etc....are basing their efforts on paper talks only while continuing to allow their citizens to pollute the world then global warming cannot be stopped.
Developing nations (like Indonesia, Brazil...etc etc..) must be taught the importance of rainforest conservation.
If everyone sees future before profit...then there is still hope for the world...
Cheers..

From what I see, I think the measures is not good enough. The global warming seems to be rising as the days goes by. I think what they are doing now is just to delay the global warming that's all.

A good start would be if countries stick to the agreements on environmental issues...............like the Kyoto agreement. What's the use of these agreements if large countries like the USA sign it but do not stick to it??
So, we need to remind our governments to the agreements that they sign and - yes - teach our children as well...............
