If you get a Virgin Train it takes approximately 20 minutes but if you get a Central Train it takes approximately 30 minutes as it stops at local stations.

If you get a virgin train you'll be there in about 15-20 minutes, if you get the central train it'll take 25-30 minutes.

Virgin train get there quicker - 15- 20 minutes
GNER takes ages - stops every 2 minutes - so it's about 30 minutes!

you are able to take the practice to Windsor Ontario, then bypass over to Detroit (do not understand how) and take the practice to Chicago, then to Washinton and right down to Birmingham. Or from Detroit you are able to take a bus to Toledo, then WQashington and directly to Birmingham.
