You're correct, but, she has got all the really good ones, you know those shells where you can hear the sea. Although if you're already at the seaside you'll be able to hear it without buying any shells. She probably has a large family and a drunken husband so the next time you go to the seashore buy some seashells of her even if you don't want them, it's better than the Big Issue.

There is no way I am going to ruin my £100 trainers with sand picking up seashells when I can buy some already picked for me for a quid!

Cos she was a good sales person, she could have sold Sand to the Arabs or Ice to the Eskimos but the little alliteration quote wouldnt be as good for kids

Maybe she stuck googly eyes on them, and stuck them on a bit of wood with the town's name on! That is what you usually get at the seaside!

see time is money. you don't need to spend it collecting them. your time cheaper than the vendors there? get involved in vending seashell.
