Yoga has the cure for every illness. If you want to start Yoga than it will be very good for you because it teaches to control you emotions also. In fact I will suggest that if you are considering to start practising yoga than you must immediately go ahead, it will be very helpful. And so far your pup is concern I have experienced it for myself that dogs have a very strong sensing power and if your pup was attached to you than you must concentrate in your mind as if you are using telepathy. If your pup is somewhere near than he definitely will return back.

My dog died when I was young and I cried for a couple of days too. You wear your heart on your sleeve and probably always will. It's not a bad thing. You are probably also very empathic, and other people are always sharing there problems with you. You carry their misery too until something really bad (like losing a beloved pet) happens. You are letting out your sorrows as well as those you carry around for others. You probably don't tell people about the little day to day problems that you have, because theirs seem so much bigger. You will get over it (your sadness) and feel tired for a few days, then you will be stronger and ready to begin the whole process again. You ARE strong, you can be emotional, but that's just you. Be happy with yourself and don't change a thing! 8-)

You use the term "we" so I assume that you have someone with you.
Don't just sit there, take some action. Take your friend out and walk around your area. Talk to your neighbors about your missing pup. Not only will this be good for you but you might find your pup.

Many years ago my 10 month old pup died. Some things are just beyond your control. You might feel that you hadn't done everything in your power to prevent it. But tell yourself instead that you did your best according to the situation.
If iyour tears are flowing - take 10 deep breaths. Tears will stop. Do it when you feel you're about to cry. Works like magic.

That is what love is all about. Believe me even your pup would be missing you. But be happy that it is happy somewhere. Move out and get someone of the same stature and nature. I understand it is difficult to replace that love but you need to find one. Always remember that its always in your memory in the form of true love. Yes meditation is would be very useful and could be solution for eveything. I see that you are very emotional and attached just try meditation. Probably Transcendental Meditaton would be very effective. Live a happy, peaceful, loving and prosperous life.

Don't drink so much water. Eventually you'll run out of tears. But not drinking water might cause you to stop crying for another reason.
Also, learn to laugh. Remember the good times you had with the pup. That'll help balance out the negative.

Dear Friend,
It is often said that time is the best medicine which can heal
even the deepest of the wounds in your heart.
So dear friend do not disturb your mind & wait for some time.
Things will set right & you will find your self in better state of mind after some time.
Take Care. Bye.......
