They shouldn't, but it is inevitable, as is the hatred for Americans throughout the Muslim world. I have been to India, Egypt, and Pakistan as a traveler and recieved the a worse welcome there than I am sure any natives of those countries would here. I have also been to Djibouti, Afghanistan and Iraq on deployments in the Marine Corps and had the opportunity to give blankets and food to the people and shook the hands of men and children whose eyes showed nothing but respect and gratitude for our aid, and on the same hand looked into the eyes of the man who would still, despite seeing our genuine concern for his well being, attack our camp at night and set IED's for our convoys bringing similar aid to other of his country men. There are a lot of good, honest and very interesting people throughout the Muslim world who do want peace and to keep senseless violence from happening, but to speak out and help stop this would mean death for him and his family, which I would not wish on anyone and would tell them to remain silent on his beliefs. I have seen this time and time again and it breaks my heart to see it. Those with the ability to speak out have a responsibility to do so for those who want to but cannot .

I hear what you are saying, however I think where this mainly stems from is that the muslim world never stands against the atrocities commited by the few. You could have such a loud voice in these matters, yet choose not to, which is a wee bit mystifying

Because the majority are not renouncing the despicable nature of the acts of the few which are done in the name of the whole.
Even if that doesn't justify it enough to explain why it "should" be so, it certainly is the reality of why it "shall" be so.

That is the fault of two contributing factors: the muslims that give muslims a bad reputation and the ignorant opinion of other human beings that stubbornly refuse to open their ******* minds to the posibility that maybe- MAYBE- we are all just as good as anyone else.

because they tolerate the few rotten eggs from within them and when someone from outside tries to clean them - they protest !!
Keeping quiet means expressing solidarity to their unjustified cause - which makes you equally involved - so you are no different !!
