I am studying civil engineering in iit bombay 1st year. im not really interested in civil. i want to become an astronomer! :D(although ive never studied ANYTHING close to astronomy b4). can any1 please tell me any colleges in india which offer astronomy. maybe i can study after passing out or in later years of my engg.

There are several institutes in India which offer you to pursue a career in astronomy. Below is the list of institutes. You may visit these websites for more information.

There is no university in India which offers an undergraduate program in Astronomy. At the Master's and Ph.D levels, there are several options. Check out this site:
