I'm in exactly the same situation with my 10-month old daughter.
All our little friends born at the same time from my Mommy's group have between 3 and 8 teeth already!!
Her doctor said at 3 months that she was starting with signs of teething. About a hundred times since I've seen the outlines of what look like teeth on the back of her bottom gums and then they're gone again.
Every time she's acting a little weird, has rosy cheeks, starts refusing food, gnawing on toys, her fingers, me, whatever I think 'Okay, here we go!!' and then nothing happens...
Every baby IS different though. Lots of online articles and tons of other Mommy's I've talked to tell me this is common. The smartest thing another mommy (with 2 kids that both got their first teeth at around 12 months) said to me is that the longer they're not exposed the less time the baby teeth have to get cavities.
My baby's breastfed and doesn't drink much other than a bit of water a few times a day from a bottle. I never put her to bed with anything, but I guess this is certainly the truth anyway. (And it gives me something to say when everyone keeps asking where my daughter's teeth are!!!)
I'm not calling the doctor about it or anything, but I will mention it at her 12-month appointment if there's still no sign of teeth, and I'm sure the doctor will reaffirm what all those mommy's have been telling me all along. Every baby's different. All in good time.
I'm a first time mom so I haven't been through this before, but I hope I'm not sensing that from your past experience you'd just like the teething over once and for all. (Uh-oh!!!)
Good luck with your new baby!

Both of my kids started teething at three and a half months. I agree with Samantha K. My daughter lost her first tooth 2 days after her 5th birthday. She turns 6 in january next year and has lost all 4 of her front teeth.

Dont worry, I had the same with my children, my little girl had 6 teeth by the age of 5 months and both my little boys did not have any until around their first birthday. They say the longer they stay in the gums the healthier though dentists will mark it as a dental development delay. Just bring it to the attention of your local maternal health care nurse.

My girl teethed for about 2 months before her first tooth poked through. After that, they kept on coming out faster than we could keep track of them. In the matter of a few mths she had 8 who came through. It's considered normal for a baby not to have teeth until their first birthday, so she still has a few mths to go. No worries!

If you get the Hylands Teething Tablets, they are great!! if you rub them on her gums it will get her gums hard enough to cut the teeth. Also once her teeth starts coming continue with the Hylands because there is no nasty taste or stinging feeling like with the oragel. Hope this has been some help.

My son didn't get teeth until about 10 months, which was coincidentally the month I stopped nursing him (he started to bite...OW!)... I was kind of worried about it too...but other moms made me feel better by telling me the later the teeth come in the better the teeth they are. So don't worry!

No need to worry. My first only got teeth a week after her first birthday! The longer it takes to get them the longer they last!

My sister-in-laws daughter did not get teeth until she was 18 months old. Don't worry they will come when they are ready.

Well you shouldn't worry! She will get them soon enough! Have you ever heard of a baby who NEVER got any teeth?
