Depending on how you look at it, the majority of English words are not originally English.
You could call them foreign loan words or whatever you want.
The best way is to get your hands on an "etymological dictionary." This is a dictionary that not only gives the definition of words, but gives their origins.
Very interesting stuff!
English has plenty of words from French as you've noted, but there are a lot from German and other languages too.

How about rendezvous? I call them french words that have become part of our english language. Souffle is another one. i would have more if you asked for Spanish. I'm not a big French girl.
