I live in SW London - ideally we'd like to avoid using the car, because we do like a drink. We can't do anything overnight, because we have a 15 year old daughter. We can spend some money, but nothing hideously expensive
Thoughts? Suggestions?

How about starting off with some food and drinks I recommend Gordon's wine bar near charing cross station its beautiful and easy to get to. Go to the theatre. I saw the lion king last night and it really was amazing! Have dinner and then see a show.
Pending the weather nothing beats a thoughtful suprise. Picnic? Hire a booth thing on london eye?
