Even though I know that it's cheesy and done by the numbers, I'm hooked at the moment. I think it depends on when they choose to go from here. If they stray too far from the original premise and start doing unrelated crisis-of-the-week storylines, pushing the nuclear disaster into the background, then it won't be able to differentiate itself from all of the other shows like that currently on TV and people will stop watching.
Honestly, I think it probably only has about a season worth of episodes in it before the story runs out - if the producers could realise that, then it might actually be remembered by history as a pretty good show.

After LOST, any storyline can be enough to carry a show. Originally, I though LOST would have difficulty sustaining interest, since it was just about a bunch of plane crash survivors, but look what it has done!
I think the next few weeks will tell about Jericho. So far, I've enjoyed it. But I haven't added it to my TiVo list yet.
Unlike Heroes, which I think is the best new drama I've seen.

The previews for next week looked pretty good. Sometimes the show is a little slow, but I like it. I think they could definitely get a whole season out of the story line. I don't know how they'd make it last for years, though. So far, so good and I'll keep watching it.

So far it's kept my interest. The next few weeks will determine Jericho's fate, I'm sure.

NO! because it's unrealistic.
People would be FREAKING OUT if they saw a mushroom cloud in the distance. Not like, 'oh lookie here, mushroom cloud, you think it's the only one or are there any others?'
The whole town acted like they had taken massive doses of Oxycontin.
