It depends on when you ovulate, which depends on the length of your cycle. You can go to babycenter.com; they have an ovulation calculator which is what I used when I was trying to get pregnant.

It's different for every woman - so there are kits you can buy that tell you when you are ovulating. Go to your local chemist / pharmacy and ask which ones they suggest.
You will only get pregnant when you ovulate. Ovulation occurs 12-16 days after the first day of your last period. It will depend on your cycle (some women have 28 day cycles and others will have 24 day cycles for example).
Buying the kit to test your urine for the correct hormone will tell you exactly when you are ovulating - then it's all go.

There's no way to tell without knowing how long your cycle is. If it's a 28 day cycle, than you ovulate around day 14. Sperm lives for up to 4 days, so do it from day 10 to 16 (if you can handle that). Look into an ovulation kit, and you'll know for sure. You get one from the pharmacy. There is also the old-school method of measuring your temperature each moring.

you need to work backwards. Estimate the average number of days in your monthly cycle and substract 14 from that...it will give you the day you are most likely to ovulate.
Eg. if your monthly cycle is 30 days. You will most likely ovulate on day 16 (day 1 being the first day of your menstruation). Chances are high to get pregnant by having intercourse from day 15 to day 17.
Also check for other signs such as the vaginal fluids (clear and very strechy when ovulating). Your body temperature also goes up slightly (about 0.2-0.5 degree Celsius) when you ovulate.
You can also get ovulation kits from the pharmacy to check when you are ovulating.

A woman has a fertile time lasting about two days in the middle of her monthly menstrual cycle. The fertile time starts when the woman ovulates (produces an egg) and ends about two days later. The most likely way to get pregnant is to have sex in this fertile time or up to two days before it.
But the problem is accurately identifying this fertile time as it varies from woman to woman and also in individuals. If you have normal period of pregnancy in 24 days,then you can get pregnant if you have sex from 14 days of last menstruation.You may be pregnant if yo have sex upto 24 days.I hope you understand.

5 days before and after period are safe .after that is a big chance to be pregnant.

Pregnancy can happen anytime after a menses however the best time for attempting it is about 21 days after the last bleeding has stopped. This is the normal ovulatation cycle, reaper out.......

The normal for ovulation to begin if your periods are normal is 15 days after the first day of your last period. If you are ovulating you temp should be a bit higher than normal. good luck..............
