Hair will only grow to a certain length and then fall out. Some peoples hair will grow down to their ankles and others can only grow hair to their shoulders. Maybe your wifes natural hair length is shorter than others.

Because hair has a natural length; ie; it will grow for so long and then fall out, then start again. See as hair will grow at a set speed then; speed * time = length.

if it is quite long anyway it might have got as long as it is going to - the length her hair will grow before hairs fall out and are replaced. Some people never have waist length hair - others can stand on their own hair! or, hormonal changes can affect hair length

if she has a lot of split ends it needs to be cut so that the hair can grow...so regular trimming helps,
apparently salt prevents hair growing as well...but this may be a myth :S
hope it helps

Tell her to go to the grocery store and the section that carries vitamins, tell her to take pre-natal vitamins. That usually works.
