It looks like a permanent marker is made from a petroleum base. I do not think it is possible may be you can try petrol. Well i can suggest an idea try making a design out of that mess so it looks more creative.

You could also try the dry-erase board cleaner (spray or wipes). Those work really great to remove all kinds of marks.

I just tried rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball on my dry erase board and it worked great. Thanks! I would never have thought to try it if this question hadn't put the idea in my head.

write over it several times with a dry erase marker, wipe it off.
it should get lighter & lighter til it is gone.

color over it with dry erase marker and erase imediately. it should take the permament marker off with it.

use sprit or even nail polish remover...should work.....do it now and let me know the result ...good luck
